BumpSkid for Can-Am Spyder RT, RT-S & RT Limited 2014–2019 — SPY-147
The BumpSkid is a front-end protection upgrade for 2014–2019 Can-Am Spyder RT, RT-S, and RT Limited models. It works as both a lower bumper and a skid plate, helping protect the front underside of your Spyder from road debris, dips, tire treads, small impacts, and everyday road hazards.
Made from tough, slick 3/8" black HDPE — High Density Polyethylene, the BumpSkid replaces the small factory skid plate with a wider protective surface. It helps protect the area from the nose to the suspension, including the leading edge of the frame, while adding a clean spoiler-style look to the front of the Spyder.

3 Spyders- Third BumpSkid
This has not been installed yet, but will be next week. Each of my previous I installed a BumpSkid and it was a no brainer for the new one.

Installed bumpskid. Was easy to do. The quality is very good and looks great. Gives a finished look like it has a front lower spoiler. I love the look. I can see it will give good protection.

Bump skid sounded like a good idea.
Bump skid sounded like a good idea so I ordered one for my 2015 spyder rt-s and I am very happy with it ,easy to install & fit in about 2hr .

Requires care and knowledge of tools to install.
This is a strong piece of protection. I would prefer that the leading and side edges be cut closer to the same size as the vehicle edges but that's just me. My friends think it looks great.

Saved by the bell
I scrapped my body work slightly underneath while being careful, I thought, ouch! I ordered the BumpSkid that very day. It was here in a couple of days and I installed it the same day that I received it. I think it gives the machine a more finished look. That's a plus. If it was ugly I'd still want it for the protection it offers, so you can't go wrong.

Recommended protection
Great way to protect the underside of your ride. Took only about an hour to install and very straightforward instructions. Would really recommend to anyone looking to protect their investment.

Perfectionist, liking perfection...
New 2014, RT Limited, and I want to keep it that way. Fit is excellent, thinker than expected - easy install - just take your time. I used a set of car floor ramps to lift bike - a little low, but it works. I had to shorten a 1/4" drill bit, to install back two bolts. That's a good thing, being those are the holes they warn you to be careful with, not to hit hoses in behind. Bumpskid lines up perfectly, once radiator bolts are in. Check the front center point for alignment. Don't panic, just drill the front holes, it will all work out. Install clips and you're ready to remove the plastic protective sheets. Put it in place, bolt it on. Hardware is excellent. BTW - OEM plate & bolts - discard all. Don't hesitate, buy one.

This Bumpskid looks great on the Spyder RT, and it wasn't 2 hours after I installed it, it demonstrated it's purpose for me. What a great product.

Great investment
I Installed the BumpSkid on my new 2014 RT Limited today. Seen a couple of scratches on the bottom when I raised it up. I'm glad this will help protect the bottom of my RT. Easy to install and looks good.
