The Stage 4 HYD model adds a remote hydraulic preload adjuster, making it easier to adjust rear suspension preload for solo riding, passenger riding, luggage, and touring load changes. This is a strong choice for Canyon riders who regularly switch between solo rides, two-up riding, day trips, and loaded touring.
The shock also gives you key performance adjustments, including low-speed compression, rebound, and spring preload. Stage 4 is derived from Elka’s top-end Stage 5 model and uses an external compression adjustment knob with an internal high-speed blow-off circuit for a controlled ride that still remains compliant over bumps and rough roads.
Recommended for occasional two-up riding and riders who want easier preload adjustment without stepping up to a full Stage 5 rear shock.
